| After seeing Armando's awesome "Tantive IV" helmet, I thought I'd share my attempt at a helmet that has been put through some serious stunt work. While surely no real competition for Armando's awesome helmet nor photography, I still think it turned out quite good. This is not meant to be a specific, screen-seen helmet but rather my own approach. All details are hand painted, the base helmet was primed and then sprayed in the correct colour to simulate HDPE (see my avatar). Gloss white over that with paint runs and some chipping, and that was it. The helmet and HDPE paint came from R2Dan. The lid was a donation from my good mate to cheer me up from quite a bad mood... Thanks again, bro! Here it is: I'm planning on doing the same to my TM helmet that I just ordered. | |

It's gonna be a 1mm helmet (I think?), the one that Paul normally supplies with his 1mm ABS suit. I do plan on using it for trooping, absolutely. In German Garrison, trooping in it still makes you the "odd man out", right Dan?

| Here's one more pic to better show the actual proportions of the lid, camera placed further away from the helmet and then zoomed in. | |

In German Garrison, trooping in it still makes you the "odd man out", right Dan? "Why do you have these weird green spots on your helmet Dan?" "Look, the elite armour snob doesn't even take care of his armour, it's all dirty" You guys should be happy you're in the UKG

| We get the same remarks here...
' you should not troop in that. Or, latex hand plates are for display.. '
The best compliment for me is; 'that looks like crap!'
