My Dave M replica

I know most of you guys have already seen it, but it's still the crowning piece of my lid collection, so I thought I might as well show it off another time :D.

It started out as a prototype Styrene lid from Vaj of his new SFS line (that I think still hasn't kicked off really) with a few blemishes and cracks that I had to fix first. There's pics of that on my facebook page, so I won't put them on here, I think the finished pics will be enough:

Hey Dan since day one of seeing this lid, it's one of my favourite replicas for sure!!

The level of replication is simply amazing - and it is in the details that sets this apart from a good looking lid to a doppelganger

Things like the crumpled lens for instance..

The face plate certainly has the Dave M look on the right tube. Maybe even more so than the new so called SFS from TE2

PS have you weathered the armour to match the lid?

Nope, the armour is not as heavily weathered (although I used the same style and technique). It's matched to my TM lids, but I think I could get away with putting the SFS on and troop in it. Which I'm in fact planning to do very soon :D

Hey guys - I just took these two pics to show people how a camera lens distorts a lid and that pictures should be dealt with accordingly, and look how much the lid looks like the PEAS shirt on the left:

Yer Dan i no what you mean with lens distort i have had that prob when taking photos and have to adjust the zoom , that is so uncaney that you have the PEAS Lid you accurate snob
