Regular Style Hand Plates in ANH

In ANH we see there are 2 types of latex hand plates, the standard or regular and the alternate style.

This style here are the more popular and more common type seen in the films, but are seen on both hero and stunt troopers. These are what are usually refered to as the standard type.

These gloves were made by Stormtrooper or his older screen name PugMan, a regular contributor in the trooper forums.

While tweaking my armour this weekend i wanted to show the size difference between some of the latex hand plates i have.

The standard style are by John aka Pugman or Stormtrooper and the alternate style are by Karin aka Sonnenschein.

The Pugman version are quiet a lot smaller and look better in my opinion..

If you look closely at the pics you posted, the alternate style hand guards are bigger. They go beyond the knuckles

Pugman was the very first maker of latex hand guards, but certain details are quite inaccurate.

But hats off to him for pioneering them!

or they had small hands or they were glued onto the gloves wrong maybe ?

Everyone's going to wear them differently. A mm here, a mm there. slightly different angles, etc.

So, I've finally succumbed to at least trying these, I've had a look about at these, any recommendations on where to get these from please? I'd like the glossy ones too.

You can get natural latex and then paint them for super accuracy or get white versions to suit your preferred level of accuracy 2B :<)
